diy fluoroscent lamp

 I would like to have an old Dazor lamp, but since it is difficult to buy i decided  to make my own fluoroscent lamp. I 

The lamp is T8 43.8cm 6500k. I think this light of the fluoroscent lamp is the best for  the workshop 

Και στα ελληνικα.. εφτιαξα αυτο το φωτιστικο για το εργαστηριο μου, σαν ιδεα πηρα τα παλια φωτιστικα κυριως dazor δεκαετιας 50-60 που βλεπω στο ιντερνετ (με τα πολυ λιγα μεσα που εχω.) Οι λαμπες φθορισμου ειναι οι καλυτερες γιατι δεν κανουν σκιες και δεν κουραζουν τοσο πολυ οσο οι υπολοιπες, ακομα και απολ εντ. 

Στην πραγματικοτητα το καλυτερο φως ειναι συνδιασμος διαφορετικων λαμπων ..

Οπως ολα τα πραγματα που φτιαχνω τα υλικα ειναι απο αυτα που βρισκω

I bought an old letterpress Boston type, rusty,  it was out in the rain I don't know for how long, but everything is stuck. I will try to restore it

store your printing ink

All we know what fuss is the printing ink in the metal tin and what waste of ink.

The idea is not mine, but is very good. We can store the ink in empty silicone tubes(cartridges)

For 1kg of ink I used 3 tubes of 300ml each and 2 tubes from  vitamines.

1.Cover your table with newspapers before you start and wear gloves.

2.with a painting spatula remove the ink from the tin,little by little to the tube.

3. don't fill the whole tube, leave 4cm for the lid

4.put the lid, remove the air using a screwdriver. you must put the screwdriver between the lid

and the tube .with the thumb of the other hand push the lid.

5.clean the tube . put some vaseline on the lide and close it in a bag

You are ready!

Homemade letterpress

 This is my homemade letterpress that I used  to print  my woodcuts.

As you see I don't use springs but wire ropes and a long piece of wood as

lever.

I also have a scissors jack press, 1 ton

when you cut metal always rinse with water to avoid over tumpering.

and a little piece of brass for the ring
